Sash Hamidi knew he wanted to be a teacher after completing a work experience placement in a Teachers鈥� Centre when he was in secondary school.

鈥淭he course empowered me to read and research about education globally. I was skilled and inspired to take on my own class back in London and utilise what I had learned. We also spent time talking about being a 鈥榬eal鈥� teacher and the expectations that come with that.鈥�

Sash was based at the Bedford campus, but during his studies he carried out work placements across Bedfordshire, including Luton. 鈥淏edford was so different to London - the setting, the town, the university community and the whole sense of being a part of something was incredible,鈥� said Sash.
